Coban is a large beautiful town sitting atop a mountanouse region within a valley.  It's approximately a 4 hour drive, north of Guatemala City with a small airport for small aircraft.  Coban's main production has been coffee and cardamom for many years.  It has grown tremendously in recent years due to its beauty and one of the towns you can stop at on your way to Peten.  I was born in Guatemala and grew up in the US and there.  I lived in Coban from the early to mid 80's and have family I visit there often.  I will be submitting more information in the near future so come back soon.
