Pucon is an  outdoor mecca located approximately 800 kilometers South of Santiago. All sorts of adventure sports are available in the area. From rafting, to biking, and hiking. The most prominent has to be climbing the nearby Vulcan Villarica. Its about a 5000ft vertical ascent, about a third of it up a glacier to the crater on top. Vulcan Villarica is still active and pouring forth sulpher smoke.
