You will need these directions: Via city centre, cross over the bridge onto Riverside Drive following the signs to Whangarei Heads/Airport. Then turn left onto Memorial Drive , after 1 km turn right onto Old Parua Bay Rd then left onto Abbey Caves Road. We are next to the Abbey Caves carpark down the steep driveway. Look for our number '85' sign.
There is no public transport to our lodge and its too far to walk (7km). You can take a taxi from the town centre for about $15.
Journey time should be about 7 minutes from the town centre.
Alternative route:
From the Whangarei Infomation centre follow signposts to Whangarei Falls. At Mill Rd, watch for sign to RH Reed Park and turn right onto Whareora Rd. Continue on Whareora road (past R H Reed park) for 3 km. Turn on to Abbey Caves Road 1km. We are next to the Abbey Caves carpark down the steep driveway. Look for our number '85' sign.
