The Sunshine Coast begins 90 km North of Brisbane at Caloundra and stretches for almost 100km to Noosa, enclosing some of the best beaches and scenery on the planet. Not to be confused with the Gold Coast, which is South of Brisbane and a waste of time to visit as it already suffers the "Miami Effect" and looks like every other "holiday" destination on the planet.
A really great family holiday zone begins at Caloundra, the gateway to the SunCoast.
Unfortunately, in real terms, the Sunshine Coast is probably the fastest growing region in Australia because of this and the same errors in development will occur, the infamous "Miami Effect" where everything looks the same as the atrocious USA runaway developments, so hurry to visit this still wonderfully accessible region and experience - and maybe buy some of it - before it is too late.....
