We have several room types, some private, and some dorms. There are generally no more than 4 persons to a room.

NOTE: we make every effort to seperate the sexes, HOWEVER in the busy summer months the arrangement may be CO-ED.

There are daily shuttles from the hostel to Denali, Anchorage, Valdez, Dawson City, Whitehorse and other locations.

Billie's Backpacker Hostel is a great place to begin your adventure in interior Alaska and you won't find a place with a more comfortable friendly atmosphere.

Please Note: We are a small hostel, with no Credit processing capability at this time. You may use credit to make a reservation (NON-Refundable deposit), but will need cash for the balance upon arrival.

conditions: Upon arrival, Billie will provide you with a towel, linens and a smile. This is an older but clean comfortable building. It is has two levels: Upper level is where the rooms are located, along with a small common area and a bath/shower. LOWER LEVEL: Common kitchen, two sitting areas, computers, Payphone, TV, Coffe/Tea. There is a yard area with picnic tables, BBQ and firepit. We also have a rustic unheated comfortable gazebo for $5 less. You will have to walk to the main building to access facilities. Please Note: we are a small home hostel and do not have a processing capability for credit cards - cash upon arrival please. Please note: Billie as two pugs - Kubhala and Frankie. They are allowed into the hostel for SHORT visits on occassion. If you do not like small dogs, this may not be a comfortable place for you.
