By Bus:
Take a bus from San Jose to Cariari (Caribeños Bus Stop) at Barrio Turnon.
Buses leave every day 9am for Cariari.
In Cariari take the bus to La Pavona Port or the Geest Port at 12.00 pm.
Both of these ports will have a boat waiting for you to take you to Tortuguero.
By Car:
Take the Braulio Carrillo highway to Guapiles, leave the highway in Guapiles and turn left to Cariari. After Cariari look for the Pavona Port were you will find a car park where you can leave your car and take the boat to Tortuguero.
By Plane:
Planes go to Tortuguero every day from San Jose, Costa Rica.
At 6am from Pavas Airport. (Tobias Bolaños Airport) It is a 25 min flight.
