  • Churchill Travel Guide & City Information

Although Churchill only has a population of just over 1000, it certainly offers a lot for the visitor. Known as 'The Polar Bear Capital of the World' you can observe these animals just a short distance from the town each October and November.

You can also watch Beluga Whales dive at the mouth of the Churchill River. River tours also available across to Prince of Wales Fort National Historic Site.

One of the best sites on the planet to view northern lights.  In winter take a tour by snowmobile or drive your own dogsleigh team under the northern lights.

A 'must see' is the Eskimo Museum which houses some of the finest Inuit artifacts in the world.
