We are happy to introduce Island Rab this way to you. This is small but beautiful island, island of nature, peaceful life and harmony. There is no industry whatsoever on the island, so the Rab islanders live predominatelly of tourism and want to keep it in such a manner as to preserve the environment.

Medieval Rab town, one of the prettiest in the region, is built on a narrow peninsula which encloses a sheltered harbour - stone buildings climb from the harbour to a cliff overlooking the sea.

The towers of four of Rab's churches are easy to spot among the town's mass of red-roofed houses.

Take a walk along the city wall for spectacular views of the town, or head north to the shady walkways of the Komrcar Park.

'Rapska fjera' or the 'the days of the middle ages' is a traditional and authentically costumed manifestation during which the Old Town of Rab is transformed into a medieval town.

Around 300 costumed citizens of Rab, members of various associations, show the guests through medieval crafts how people in the middle ages on The island were working, eating and celebrating. The programe lasts for three days and takes place in the evening hours
