Ullapool is a charming seaside town on the nothwest coast between Poolewe and Lochinver. It doesn't have a beach but is scenically situated on Loch Broom. It has more choice for eating, drinking and sleeping than any other town within many miles and ferries to Stornoway in the Western Isles - the Long Islandgo from here as well as boat trips to the fabulous Summer Islands and shorter ones to Bird Island.

There isn't a road in the area which does not lead to some sort of scenic splendour and it is an excellent centre for a Scottish holiday.
