Tucked away in the hills nestles the beautiful town of Pitlochry. It's a real trap for tourists, particularly during the Pitlochry Festival which takes place every summer at the The Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
Another wonderful find just outside Pitlochry is Moulin which has just a few houses and a wonderful pub. It's worth the walk across the hill tops looking over Pitlochry - and the pub which makes it's own beer is a wonderful reward. After a break there head a little further to the smalles distillery in Scotland - Edradour. It is the quaintest place to visit and has only 3 employees working there (if you don't count the numerous guides who show you round the distillery on free tours, even throwing in a free dram!)
