Location
The hostel is situated at the rear of the owners white house (Craigellachie House), at the junction of Main Street and the Fort William Road. Look for the blue signs.
Train Newtonmore
If arriving by train walk up Station Road for 1/2 mile until you meet the main road and turn right, go past the Esso Station. the hostel is another 200 yds. It's a pleasant walk and it will do you good, however, if it is pissing with rain we will collect you for free from Newtonmore Station. Call us if you want to be collected on 01540 673360. There is no phone at the Newtonmore Station so you will need a mobile.
Train Kingussie
Start walking, it's only 3 miles and will do you even more good than walking from Newtonmore Station, however if the rain is a problem , we will collect from Kingussie Station for a £6 fee. There is public telephone at Kingussie Station.
Bus (Citylink) from Inverness
Buses stop opposite the hostel (the Craig Dubh stop).
Buses (Citylink) from Edinburgh/Glasgow
Buses from Edinburgh/Glasgow stop 200 yards away (the McPherson Museum stop).
Check In
To check in come to the BACK door of the white house and ring the cowbell.
