By Bus:
From Ullapool: local bus (KSM Motors) twice daily to Lochinver and Youth Hostel (ask driver). Departs Ullapool 9.30am and 4.30pm, arriving, 10.30am and 5.30pm respectively.
From Inverness: Tim Dearman Coaches departs 8.50am and arrives Lochinver 11.55am.
NO BUSES TO/FROM HOSTEL ON SUNDAYS!
By Train:
Get the train to Lairg from Inverness and then the post bus from Lairg to Lochinver.
By Car:
4 miles NW of Lochinver. Take the B869 for 2 miles and then left for 1 mile. Drive right round to the beach car park.
From Ullapool, take the A835 northwards, left on the A837 and then take the B869 for 2 miles and then left for 1 mile.
On Foot:
From Lochinver take the Baddidarrach footpath to Achmelvich Beach. Spectacular views, 45 minutes.
