This is the nearest hostel to the Nevis Range Ski area!! with free on-site car parking (and free over-flow nearby), a huge drying room and a lovely log fire to come home to, when the weathers really cold!

Enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits, including walking the sunlit forest tracks and paths nearby, cycling the Great Glen Cycle Route (cycles are available for hire locally, and there is excellent secure cycle storage for your own bikes,) mountain biking at the World mountain-biking circuits on Aonach Mor and along the still shores of the Caledonian Canal and quiet back-roads. Or maybe go for an invigourating climb up Ben Nevis, the UKs highest mountain.
Walk the West Highland Way or the Great Glen Way- two must-walk, long distance footpaths beginning and ending at Fort William! Experience the abundance of wildlife that inhabits the forests, hills and lochs. Pine-martin, red deer, roe deer and common seals are regularly seen - and bird watching - the majestic golden eagle, red kite and osprey.
Why not visit the Treasures of the Earth exhibition at nearby Corpach, or taste a drop (or two) of whisky at the Ben Nevis Distillery. Learn of Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobite rebellion at Glenfinnan, board the cable car at Aonach Mhor for fantastic Highland views , take a journey on a steam train along the railway of the Harry Potter films, and sail on the loch to spot wildlife.
From the doorstep of the hostel you can visit the famous Neptunes Staircase on the Caledonian Canal - the longest staircase lock in the United Kingdom. Enjoy a superb meal or drink at the Moorings hotel (100m), a pub meal at the Lochy bar (200m) or venture into Fort William (£6.00 by taxi) for some Scottish music.
Accommodation is in comfortable solid pine bunk beds, in rooms from four to eight persons. We have a total of 49 beds in the hostel - more than released onto the internet.

We do not accept payment by American Express. INDIVIDUALS: A booking made by an individual will be considered confirmed when a deposit (usually the first night's fee) has been received. Pre-payment in full allows us to offer a special discount. A Credit Card handling fee of 2% (min GBP 0.50) will be applied per credit card transaction. There is no handling fee for payment by Debit Card (e.g. Maestro/Delta). If cancelling with at least 48 hours notice: Only the deposit will be forfeited. If cancelling with less than 48 hours notice: The full value of the booked accommodation will be retained/charged. Please note: We reserve the right to charge a key deposit/good behaviour bond of between GBP 5 and GBP 10 per person on arrival or at any time during an individual's stay. This will be forfeit in the event of any loss of room key/disturbance caused to other guests. GROUPS: N.B. Group bookings usually have at least six guests, and benefit from special Prices. At the time of booking, you need to be sure of what type of booking is being made. In the event of a change in the number of guests, a reduction in numbers will be treated as per group cancellation terms; additional numbers may be made as per either Individual or Group terms. (To get the best price, you need to use Group terms). A booking made by a Group will be considered confirmed when a deposit of 20% of the full amount due has been received. Please note the balance is due no later than 6 weeks (42 days) prior to the day of arrival. Failure to pay the balance due at least 6 weeks prior to arrival, or failing to agree with us in writing any special payment terms, will result in the accommodation being re-allocated and the deposit being retained/charged, without recourse to the Group concerned. A Credit Card handling fee of 2% (min GBP 0.50) will be applied per credit card transaction. Multiple payments will be charged an additional fee of GBP 1.00 per payment. If you are a group and have to cancel in FULL before paying the balance due: The Group Deposit of 20% will be retained/charged. If you are a group and have to cancel in FULL after paying the balance due: Group Cancellation in full between 42 and 29 days before arrival: 50% of the full amount due will be retained/charged; Group Cancellation in full between 28 and 15 days before arrival: 75% of the full amount due will be retained/charged; Group Cancellation in full between 14 and 0 days before arrival: 100% of the full amount due will be retained/charged. If you are a group and have to cancel in PART before paying the balance due: The Balance due will be adjusted accordingly. There will be no repayment of any proportion of the deposit. If you are a group and have to cancel in PART after paying the balance due: Group Cancellation in part between 42 and 29 days before arrival: 50% of the cancelled proportion will be retained/charged; Group Cancellation in part between 28 and 15 days before arrival: 75% of the cancelled proportion will be retained/charged; Group Cancellation in part between 14 and 0 days before arrival: 100% of the cancelled proportion will be retained/charged. At the time of booking Organisers are requested to confirm the number of guests anticipated to be in their group, and any variation to this number must be agreed IN WRITING and IN ADVANCE. If on arrival day the group exceeds the number agreed then we will try to accommodate the surplus number, but if we are unable to do so such guests must find alternative accommodation at their own expense. Such guests will be granted daytime access to the hostel upon payment of a 'Day Charge' of GBP 5.00 per person, and for reasons of security will be required to register at Reception in the normal manner. LATE ARRIVALS and LATE DEPARTURES: ARRIVALS: Guests may normally book into the hostel from 1700 to 2230 hours. (Once booked into the hostel guests have full 24-hour access until departure day) LATE ARRIVALS: Arrivals after 2230 hours are at the manager's discretion. A charge of GBP 5.00 PER PERSON will be levied for late arrivals after 2230. (If you anticipate arriving later than 2230 hrs please call the hostel in advance) DEPARTURES: Guests must depart the hostel by 1030 hours on departure day. Guests may continue to use the dining and lounge facilities between 1030 and 1200 mid-day for a payment of GBP 5.00PER PERSON. After 1200 mid-day the full overnight charge will be payable.
