    I would definitely stay at the Castle Rock Hostel in Edinburgh. I just stayed there for a few nights and it was definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were really spacious & have views of the Edinburgh castle (which is right across from the front dor of the hostel!). The staff are friendly & there is Internet, laundry, a huge & well-equipped kitchen. Castle Rock is affiliated with the High St. Hostel which I've also heard is good, though I went there & didn't find it as impressive as Castle Rock. Skip the free walking tour organized through High St., though - it wasn't too great
