By Air
On arrival at Edinburgh Airport, if hiring a car, follow the directions to the city by-pass. On approach to the main round-about accessing the by-pass ensure that you stay in lane for the city by-pass SOUTH.
Once on the by-pass, continue heading south until the Lasswade exit. On exiting the by-pass, turn left following the directions for Liberton. Straight over the next two mini roundabouts until reaching a set of traffic lights at a cross road. Again, straight through the junction and the Northfield House Hotel is about 200 yards along the road on the right hand side.
A regular bus service operates from the airport into the city centre where a connection on Princes Street will take you to the hotel.
By Bus
A regular service by Lothian Buses (No. 31) operates from Edinburgh city centre and stops directly outside the hotel. The No.31 bus-stops are located on the shopping side of Princes Street.
The journey from the city centre takes around 15 - 20 minutes, subject to traffic. Exit the bus at the stop immediately after Liberton Hospital and you will find yourself in front of the Northfield House Hotel.
Coaches operate from various parts of the UK to Edinburgh, visit the National Express website for further details and a regular service runs throughout the day into late at night, connecting Glasgow and Edinburgh.
