Achiltibuie is a straggling village on the western coast of Scotland north of Ullapoolwhich supplies glorious views over the Summer Isles. There are trips to these islands at times in the summer season although only one is inhabited. The road is long and winding and the owners of lochs near the side do NOT welcome swimmers! It passes the feet of Cul Beag and Stac Pollaidh.
Possibly even more scenic, with the most beautiful shoreline scenes is the narrow, twisting road from Lochinver, where all but the manic drive slowly!
