MARKEN GJESTEHUS is a reasonably priced ( from NOK 160,- per pers ) and pleasant alternative to hotel accommodation ideal for both individuals and groups or families. We offer new, comfortable, light and airy rooms of a good standard. We have 21 rooms in total, in rooms with 1 to 8 beds. For the rooms that not have private bathroom, you will find excellent restrooms/ shower facilities in the corridor. All rooms that are listed here has shared bathroom, and all the rooms has bunk beds. For request for rooms with private bathroom, and 2 bed rooms with double bed ( two seperate beds ) please contact Marken Gjestehus directly.
We are located in the heart of Bergen, within walking distance of transport and attractions. Banks, post office, food stores and restaurants are also close at hand.
Marken Gjestehus also have all the facilities you would expect of a modern guesthouse; pleasant rooms for relaxing, TV lounge, fully equipped guest kitchen and laundry and dry cleaning facilities. Breakfast can be ordered , and free coffee and tea is available around the clock. Bedlinen / towels for rent, or you can bring your own.

conditions: Marken Gjestehus opened in December 1997 with 12 rooms and 36 beds. In May 2002 we expanded, and added 9 rooms and 29 beds. Now we have 21 rooms and 67 beds. In january 2005 we redecorated our first wing. All 12 rooms has been painted in fresh and modern colors, and the interior has been upgraded. Also the corridors and common rooms has been painted. In 2007 we have got a new kitchen, a modern, fully equipped kitchen that will meet the needs to those of our guests that will prepare their own food ( tea and coffee will still be available and free for our guests 24 h ). In October / November we will install a Wireless Zone, that will be free for our guests. From the opening in 1997, we have received great response and feedback from our guests, saying that the accomodation we offer is excellent, modern and reasonable priced. We wish to maintain these essential factors , and to continue giving our guests the same up-to-date accomodation at the same low price.
