The houseboat is located at 9 minutes from the Station (where you can find trams and tourist boats to visit further locations in town).
'The Elephant room' has 2 large windows, a king size bed and table, a narrow terrace on the canal side with a rowing boat parked in front of it for chilling out and sunning purposes only!
The room faces the afternoon sun and 8 beautiful grand trees. It is comfortable, attractive, spacey, family-, gay- and smoker friendly.
It is equipped with radio/Cd, Wifi.
With its own private entrance, it is situated at the far end of the houseboat with shared bathroom/shower just down the hall next to the inn keeper's living quarters.
Tea and coffee-making facilities are available in the room
as well as a fridge...
You can book the room (July/August 08) as a :
Private triple for e45.- pppn or as
Private double for e55.-pppn.
When 2 adults wish 2 separate beds, please inform
Adinoah upfront.
Child under age 12: e15.-
Houseboat Arknoa is close-by breakfast shops on the Haarlemmerstraat/Dijk. (Barney's Coffee Cie, p.ex. opens at 8a.m.) The supermarket is 5 minutes away (open daily, Sundays included from 8am to 10pm); the houseboat is also close to the Monday and Saturday street-markets of the Jordaan and is in a safe area.
The 'Elephant room' is in the process of becoming en-suite& for the time being it offers its guests a safe, peaceful and refreshing place to relax in.
- So welcome to your floating room on the waters and to a good night's sleep!
- Ask Adinoah to send you Info-sheet with prices.
- Minimum stay is 2 nights.
- Key deposit is e50.-. Deposit will be returned when room and bathroom are left tidy and no damage has occurred. Towels and soaps are available as well as tea and coffee.
- Check-in is after 16:00.
You can always arrive early to deposit your bags.
Please inform the house at what time you plan to arrive.
- Check-out at 12 am. (For e5.- You can leave your bags at the houseboat for the afternoon before leaving Amsterdam).
Contact me to reserve the 'Nest room' as well. The 'Nest room' is a very small private room with a large double bed.

Dogs are not directly accepted as there are 2 cats living on board. Special requests can be made.
North-West of the houseboat there is a secured car Park at e1.- p.h. It is a 20 min. walk back to the houseboat. Info will
be sent on to you if required.
See also Adinoah' s documentation book in the room for free FERRY BOAT TRIPS to interesting locations &/or restaurants and to the dutch BEACH ! (This flying Ferry to the beach, Ijmuiden, cost's e5.- one way).
Once at the houseboat, you can ask to see Adinoah' s documentation book of her art works/ her postcards, Delft blue greeting cards, and prints of paintings, aquarelles, acrylics, etc).
Pour votre bonne information, Adinoah speaks le Francais et un peu l'Espagnol.
conditions: Please note we do not accept credit cards. Once your booking has been confirmed by Hostelworld, you will receive an email from Adinoah to you personally with a map for the directions. Please print this map and take it with you on your travels. (Or make a quick sketch from Station to houseboat as... Amsterdam IS confusing!...) Please then confirm to her by reply that you have received the map. From exit North at Central Station to the houseboat it is a short walk along the waterfront direction West of about 9 minutes to Houseboat Arknoa. At the bridge, cross over by taking the next bridge, the Half Moon Bridge! On top of that bridge you will see Arknoa (second ark to the left). Happy travels! If you have to change your arrival time, please do so or per email (12 hours upfront) or per phone.
