There are different ways to arrive from Fiumicino Airport to Hotel Delle Muse.
1) You can take a yellow or white cab ('taxi') from the airport to the hotel. The price, luggage included, is approximately Italian EURO 47/62. Please be careful! At the airport, after customs, do not hire the people waiting outside as they offer unlicensed transport to Rome. Please go straight to the exit where you will find licensed cabs waiting on line.
2) Alternatively, you can take the shuttle train from the airport to the railway station, Stazione Termini. From Stazione Termini you can take either bus n°360, direction Piazza Delle Muse or a cab to the hotel. Here, again, do not pay attention to people offering transportation or hotels but go to the central or lateral exit to the station. There you will find licensed cabs waiting in line.
3) Please pay attention upon your arrival in Rome - do not take unlicensed taxicabs. From the railway station, Stazione Termini, the standard fare should be maximum Italian EURO 12.°°//16.°° (luggage included). If you have any problems upon your arrival at the hotel, contact the concierge before you pay the driver, and we will be happy to assist you.
4) Please note that many people who work at the airport or railway station - including taxi drivers - receive commission fees from many hotels. They will try in every way to make you cancel your reservation and stay at one of their hotels, which normally are very expensive and have very low standards.
5) Be careful of pickpockets waiting for you at the railway station or in the buses. They can also be small children 5/6 years of age who, whilst playing with you, can take your money without you realizing it. For this reason we suggest you arrive by cab, even if it is more expensive. The pickpockets are not 'dangerous", they are only pickpockets.
6) Shuttle train from the airport to Stazione Termini: first train 07.37 - last train at 22.37. The journey lasts twenty minutes. Rate: EURO 9.°° per person approx.
Earlier or later or every 15 minutes you have not direct train for Stazione Tiburtina.
7) Try to arrive with some EURO money because banks at the airport are not always open especially during bank holidays. If they are open - you might have to stand in line for a while.
8) Upon reservation we can provide limousine transfer from the airport to the hotel for EURO 49. (up to four passengers with luggage) all included - tip as well. (From 20.00 until 06.30 EURO 60)
To arrive at the Hotel delle Muse coming from the Milano
Roma motorway you have to exit at Roma Nord gateway. After paying the toll you proceed for approximately 10km and exit at 'Settebagni'. Turn right and follow the arrows indicating Via Salaria "Roma centro - Parioli".
To arrive at the hotel coming from other direction you have to leave at the gate N° 8 of the G. R. A. (which is the motorway ring around the city) the sign is "Roma centro Salaria".
In both cases, from the Via Salaria drive as follows:
When you see the Hotel Panama on your left, be ready to turn right after 300mt on to Via Panama. Go straight until Ungheria Square. Just before the traffic light, turn right on to Viale Romania and drive to the intersection of three streets. Take the one in the centre and you will find the hotel on the right 800mt ahead (across from the pharmacy).
Should you get lost and require directions, the important landmarks are Piazza Ungheria, Piazza delle Muse, Comando Generale dei Carabinieri. The district is called "Parioli". Our address is Via Tommaso Salvini, 18 Roma.
