The Bed & Breakfast 'Al Foro Romano' is situated in the first floor of an historical palace of the 19th century, into the 'Rione Monti', close to what was, for centuries, the fulcrum of the public life of the Ancient Rome, the greatest set of monuments of the Ancient Rome that we already know, visible also from the windows of our apartment.

In the same area, 'Rione Monti', you can alos find the evidences of the Roman Age, Medieval Age, Italian Reinassance, Roman Baroque, in a sequence of styles that covers 2500 years of history.
The Bed & Breakfast 'Al Foro Romano' is above the ancient tracing of the 'Argiletum', that today is 'Via Madonna dei Monti', the street that joined and still joins the Rione Monti to the Forum.
It allows to arrive on foot to the more fascinating areas of the City and to appreciate its archaeological sites:'Colosseo', 'Ludus Magnus' - that is the Gladiators' arena, 'Domus Aurea - Nerone's house -, 'Terme di Traiano', the Forum of the emperors Augusto, Nerva and Traiano with the adjacent Markets, features of the Serviane and Aureliane Walls (with the Asinaria Door), 'Terme di Tito', the rests of the Cluaudius Aqueduct, the Church of San Pientro in Vincoli with Michelangelo's Mosè, the Church of Santa Francesca Romana, the Papal Palace, Obelisco Egizio, Sancta Sanctorum, the Saint Stair, the Basilica of S. Giovanni in Laterano, Church of S. Clemente, Church of S. Martino ai Monti, the medieval Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore and some memories of the Medieval Age like the Triclinio Leoniano, Lateranense Baptistry, the Church of S. Stefano Rotondo, Tower of Counts, the House of the Knights of Rodi, Church of S. Prassede - in which there is The Column of Jesus Christ's Flagellation -, Towers of the Capocci and some masterpieces of the Roman Baroque, like the Church of S. Andrea to the Quirinale and The Church of S. Carlino alle Quattro Fontane.
