On the slopes of Monte Subasio, in the commune of the historic pilgrimage centre of Assisi- home of Saint Francis.3 storey independent medieval country house .
We are situated in over an acre of land with olive ,walnut, peach & plum trees. Panoramic views can be enjoyed of Santa Maria degli Angeli and across the valley to Perugia and beyond. Within walking distance there is a bar, supermarket, bakery greengrocer, bank and pizzeria. A few minutes drive away are many restaurants catering for all requirements from cheap and cheerful to noted in good food guides- Assisi, Spello, Foligno, Perugia etc.
It is possible to rent the entire house or either the top 2 floors or the lower floor separately.(with shared use of gardens)
The house has been lovingly restored in the traditional manner with all modern amenities.
Swimming pool 12 by 5 metres open in summer months ( late may to end of september)
Young children are very welcome but will require supervision

Large bedroom with fitted wardrobes double bed and single bed (or 3 single beds) dressing table with mirror. Sky TV and DVD player.Electric fan for use in hot weather. Insect screen on windowduring summer months
Bathroom- shower, bidet, washbasin, toilet. Marble floor and wall tiles.
Small library- good and varied selection of English books, DVD`, videos and CD`s.
Large living room- leather three piece suite, leather padded stools, antique furniture, Sky TV, video, DVD, CD/cassette player. Windows overlook the valley.Electric fan for use in hot weather.Insect screen on window during summer months.

Kitchen/dining room- well equipped, with oak beamed ceilings, open fireplace, terra cotta tiles.
Electric oven and gas hob, double copper sink. Large oak table seats 10. Telephone/internet access if required available at extra cost . Gas boiler for water and central heating. Electric fan for use in hot weather.Insect screen on window during summer months,

Hillside gardens with fruit and olive trees. .Garden on two levels
- upper area with separate access from the street has morning sun
-large lower garden accessed by steps at the side of the house to terra cotta tiled patio with built in seating , garden table and chairs and barbecue. The patio gets afternoon sun and views of beautiful sunsets. Panoramic views up the mountainside or down and across the valley below.
Swimmng pool 12m by 5m newly constructed in lower garden now in use .For shared use by upper house and lower apartment.
-Remainder of garden open land with olive and fruit trees with access to white road leading to local church.
Services included
Bed linen, bath towels, tea towels (changed weekly), cleaning before and after rental.
Mains gas, electricity and water.
Cot , highchair and baby car seat available at no extra charge-please request these when booking if required.
Coast/beach
Lake Trasimeno- ½ hour drive-beach areas for swimming. Ferry trips across the lake. Boating etc.
Adriatic and Mediterranean coasts approx 2 hour drive either way.
Public swimming pools- 2 open air- Assisi and Spello- both approx 3km away-open during Italian school summer holidays mid/end June to end August
