Poseidon Hotel is a reasonably priced C class hotel. It is located in Heraklion, above the new port of the city and only a few minutes walk from the heart of the town. It is also close to the archaeological museum and the central bus station which links Heraklion with the biggest towns and the island's most important sites. There are many shops, restaurants and local tavernas nearby.

The Poseidon Hotel has recently been renovated and has nice, very clean rooms, with balconies overlooking the ocean. All rooms have private bathroom with shower, TV, double glazed windows and telephone. Airconditioning is also available. The hotel also has a beautiful garden and a parking area.

The reception is open 24 hours a day and the friendly staff are happy to provide any information about the island, tours and car rentals that guests may require.
