The apartments are 1.5 hours in a taxi from Heraklion Airport. You may also take the bus (from Heraklion) which goes to bus to Ierapetra and Makri Gialos.
There is a port and airport 30 miles away in Sitia. There are also buses from Sitia to Makri Gialos every hour and the apartments are only 30 metres from the bus station.
