The Townside Hostel is located in Ostertor/Steintor, Bremen's most vibrant quarter. Experience the heartbeat of Bremen - anything goes! Art and culture during the daytime, concerts and parties by night; shopping and chilling near the water - and of course a great night's sleep at the 'Townside'.

The house was built in the beginning of 1900. That means high rooms and some old relicts like wooden wall decoration. After finishing the rebuilding work of the house in the middle of june 07, all 5 floors are prepared to invite you.

Most of the dorms have a second floor, so you almost don't realize sharing the room with 4 - 7 person.

For security: Almost every bed in the dorms has its own locker !

For more security there is a safe at the reception, were you can leave laptops for example.

In our lounge and on our balkonies (one has a roof) you can relax and come together with other guests. Behind the house you look in beautifull old trees and gardens. From the highest balkonie you can see till Bremen's Cathedral.

In our kitchen you prepare yourself breakfast, lunch, dinner and everthing you like to eat. We offer free coffee and tea in the morning.

The hotspot for W-Lan using is available, email terminal is coming soon.


We've got 14 rooms: 7 dorms (4-6 beds), 6 twins/doubles which can be also offered as single and one apartment with bathroom and kitchen. Some rooms have their own bath.
Each hallway has showers and WC's. Townside is a non-smoking place with three balconies for the smoking lot. Pets are not allowed.

Reception time is between 7.30 am – 1.00 pm, 4.00 pm - 9.00 pm, so please contact reception if you are arriving at other times.

Cancellations: are required to be faxed or sent by email to the Townside Hostel 24 hours prior to arrival date. Failure to do so will result in a one night no show fee which will be charged to the given credit card number.

conditions: We´ll offer bikes for rent, organize carsharing, trips, tickets and the "Entdeckercard" for you – the card for explorers. We´ll show you the way to the hottest spots and make sure you become part of the action! Ask us and we`ll be delighted to help!
