This hostel was sleazy. I met people there who I wouldn't be surprised were rapists and criminals. The staff were sleazy, but it was probably a managerial decision and not a reflection on them as people. They told us that we had to give a deposit for sheets, then when we returned them, it turned out that the deposit was a fee for washing them after we left. I had even asked if we'd get all that money back when we left, and the receptionist said yes, but that wasn't quite what I would call the truth. Everything was overpriced, the hostel was close to restaurants, but nothing else, and I left with a bad taste in my mouth. The building was riddled with signs saying that the hostel was not at fault for anything that happened to us or our things, and that we were responsible for anything that happened to their stuff. The only good thing I could say about it was that it was clean. I'd go so far as to say that it's immaculate, but I have seen better. The staff was tri-lingual in English, Spanish, and German, but it didn't make them any nicer, just easier to communicate with, although there were still difficulties.
