This hostel was a good, simple base to explore the city. I was on a weekend course and the hostel's close proximity to the tube was a real plus point. It gave me the chance to relax in the evening without too much hastle with travel.

Nice, clean room but unfortunately the bathrooms were not so clean! The shared hall and kitchen areas did not look so good either:the carpets and the walls could be cleaner. Be prepared to provide your own toilet paper!

It's like a rooming house rather than a hostel because it is pretty much occupied by Aussies/Kiwis staying long-term (several weeks at least) who are either looking for accommodation work or both. Budget London hostel is in a good location and provided the cleaner is not on holidays (as was the case the first few days I stayed there) it is clean. The kitchens are great and the free Internet/SKY TV is a bonus.
