I shall be glad to welcome you and thank you for the
booking. I would like to give some information before your arrival. I am living above the Old City in the region called KAPELICA - it is an ancient small chapel on Zagreb road on opposite site of tower Minceta - first there's a sign for the B e r n a r d S h a w street, and on the right - there's an alley; B e h i n d t h e c h a p e l No. 16 - my address. If you like you can sent me SMS on cell. phone: 0038598427969, or ask the taxi driver to call me and I'll be down on the Zagreb road at beginning of Bernard Shaw waiting!
Nearer way...of course, a v o i d i n g the s t a i r s from the PILE GATE with suitcases, is arriving on ZAGREB ROAD. But if you have arrived on Pile Gate in front of the Old Town there is small Internet center - tourist information office, where you can get instructions for my street, or proceed with the bus at Main bus station. Or you can take take a taxi.
If you got off from the bus continue walking, and on your left - behind of the ancient palace, you will see parking place. From there you will notice steps to climb - along palm's trees park - called UZ POSAT. At the top of this stairs you will see a sign for Bernard Show wide street and small chapel, behind it there's an alley.
SO, IF YOU ARE ARRIVING:
FROM THE AIRPORT→ WITH ATLAS COACH, GET OFF ON ILINA GLAVICA - PINKY CAFEE BAR - LOCAL BUS STATION (please, ask the bus driver ) AND CONTINUE WALKING (150 meters) ON ZAGREB ROAD TOWARDS OLD TOWN - REGION KAPELICA. OR PROCEED TO PILE GATE OR TO MAIN BUS STATION (no. 8 - back to kapelica)
FROM SPLIT - WITH THE CAR - AFTER PASSING THE DUBROVNIK BRIDGE PROCEED DRIVING TOWARDS OLD TOWN ON ZAGREB ROAD, UNTIL FIRST SIGHT OF THE OLD TOWN AND TOWER MINCETA. AND SMALL CHAPEL...!!
FROM MAIN BUS STATION TAKE THE BUS NO. 8 (bus station close to Citroen service)→ GET OFF ON PINKY CAFFEE BAR BUS STOP AND WALK 50 m. TO KAPELICA REGION!
OR BUS No. 1 from Gru - TO PILE GATE (stairs)
For your information... close to the main bus station there is also FERRY TERMINAL in GRUZ.
The bus tickets can be both in the bus; the price is 10 kunas, or 8 kunas at the new's kiosk - ( 1 euro) - ticket duration is 1 hour. Driving lasts 10 -15 minutes towards Old Town. Taxi service costs 70 kunas or 10 euros from Gru to Old Town (kapelica).
Price for the bus ticket from the airport is 35 kunas per person ( 5 euros) - taxi service costs 27 euros (200 kunas), driving lasts 30 minutes.
Price for parking place in the first zone - Old Town is 5 kunas per an hour from 7 e.m. to 10 p.m. o'clock, but you can live your car 100 meters far from apartments up on Zagreb road in the non paying zone.
