Sights in town include the "Varosha" housing complex, which preserves the authentic sight of the houses and the streets from the end of V-th - the beginning of -th century and the " Virgin Mary's Inauguration " church, dating back to 1844 - a monument having a national historical importance because of its phenomenal wall-paintings and the iconostasis.

There are also quite a few interesting sights just around the corner and Blagoevgrad is a good starting point for exploring them;

There is a medieval fortress in the village of Drenkovo.

Rila monastery is only 45 km away from. It is the biggest spiritual and cultural temple in Bulgaria. Established in the Xth century by St. Ivan Rilski. An attraction not be missed.
