Single male customers have 2 options. Option 1: Cancellation of the booking - deposit does not get refunded, sorry ! Option 2: Keeping the booking and using alternative private accommodation provided by us - in case we have one. No strings attached, but out-of-season almost always possible.
For single MALE customers : We can provide you with private accommodation (the same standard or better than our hostel) in the same price class and in the same vicinity as our hostel. Please come directly to our reception office in order to use this service.

Our hostel is situated in the area closely attached to the centre of the old city of Sarajevo (Bascarsija).
We are located 320 meters away from the central city fountain on Bascarasija up a small hill overlooking centre of Sarajevo within original walled old city of Sarajevo built in 18th century (across from Gate Ploce Museum of Siege 1992 - 1995 and yellow fortress).
Our reception office on main street in street M.M. Baseskije 63/3 will be happy to offer you kind assistance with check-in, luggage storage and free maps and booklets for all of our customers.

We offer clean, hostel type & quality rooms with balcony and baths (every 2 rooms share 1 bathroom) in newly bulit/renovated building and camp site.IF YOU LOOK FOR GREAT PLACE TO SLEEP IN PEACE AND SILENCE, TOTAL SAFETY, CLEAN AIR AND CLEAN PLACE WITHIN SMALL DISTANCE FROM THE CENTRE - YOU ARE AT RIGHT PLACE AT SARTOUR'S HOSTEL AND CAMP SITE (spare yourself sleepless nights caused by noise, thousends of cars, polluted air, safety and hygennic issues of main street hostels in Sarajevo)
Our location gives the visitor a unique view of the city and a chance to experience great local Bosnian atmosphere. Our balconies overlook narrow centre of Sarajevo !

Our hostel offers single, twin (2 single beds in room), 6 - and 7-bedded rooms with shared baths.
You can rent sheets and towels from us.
If you do not want to use our linen, bring sleeping bag or your linen with you.
In case you have mobile phone please indicate your number in your booking in order to communicate easier.
Check-In and 24-hours Reception out of working hours of our reception office (regulary open only during summer season) get organised ONLY upon phone notification upon your arrival.
No guest kitchen and NO free-of-charge laundry service.
In case of no-show or earlier departure out of any reason total of one night stay will be charged over customers credit card.
SAFE PARKING :
Our hostel has 4 safe parking places in our garage for small and midsized cars. Besides that 2 more on street parking places in front of hostel. Vans and buses can park at our partners professional parking for free - guarded 24 hours per day.
FREE-OF-CHARGE CAR PICK UP :
24-hour pick up from any point in Sarajevo, upon arrival and phone notification (FREE-OF-CHARGE).
For pick-ups from Airport Sarajevo and Lukavica - East Sarajevo bus station minimum 5 nights booking required for free-of-charge car pick-up (both locations outside of city).
GROUPS :
We accept only a.) female groups b.) full families (mother+father+kid/-s) Group is 3 and/or more people. Only full groups are being accepted - no partiall groups please.
CITY TOURS :
We even give city tours if required - for as low as 10 euros per person per tour. Minimum number of participants 2 persons. Our 20th century tours belong to top city highlights in opinion of many guide books.
To avoid surprises and possible dissapointment read this:
a.) Relatively centrally located though, we are no main street hostel. Our hostel is around 320 meters away from the main street, and you need good 10 minutes normal walk to get there.
b.) Lock-out: 11.00 - 17.00 every day (11.00 a.m. - 05.00 p.m.) with possibility to stay in the hostel during that time. This lock-out is only POTENTIAL (being very rarely applied) and most of the time is hostel fully open even throughout this time !
c.) No curfew - but house silence 24.00 - 06.00 (00.00 a.m - 06.00 a.m.) - no loud music and meetings during that time.
d.) Sartour Hostel is NOT suitable for parties.
Female dorm rooms :
Guests can only book beds, and actual room arrangements are being made upon arrival (sharing rooms with other people is common, although friends and relatives stay together if possible).
People looking for full privacy and night silence should consider booking private rooms (expect people walking by in a midlle of the night, using toilettes etc.).
Few dorm rooms are being used as passage ways to other dorm room or two rooms (grown up and children guests both female and male incl. our staff may use them to pass to their room/-s at any time both day and night).
Although no male travelers use female dorm rooms, members of our staff - both female and male (max. 1 per whole hostel) may use them for few hours of off shift sleep if needed.
Private items of value can be safekept in our reception.
Dorm rooms are one of the most beautiful parts of hostelling (allowing you to meet new people - what is hostelling actually all about), but require tolerance and flexibility.
