Darragh Cottages (Apartements) -
Darraghmore House Limerick Kilfinane Ireland
Darragh Cottages are a group of four beautifully restored stone cottages on the Cork-Limerick border in the heart of southern Ireland.
Situated in their own Victorian stone walled garden, the cottages are an ideal escape from everyday life.
Built of stone some two hundred years ago they have recently been carefully restored to a very high standard. These four cottages are located in a large walled garden, in the grounds of the owner's Georgian house. Interiors are beautifully furnished and have exposed timber beams and floors, treated with organically friendly waxes. This has enhanced the old world character of the cottages.
The cottages are self-catering and are rented per week, each cottage sleeping four adults.
Each cottage has two bedrooms upstairs, one double room (King size ) and one twin room. The double room has a wash basin, vanity unit and wardrobes. The twin room contains a dressing table. There is also a cot available to accommodate an additional baby. The ground floor has a lounge/dining area with TV, a three piece suite, table and four chairs, pine dresser, fridge, electric cooker and all necessary utensils; micro wave , toaster, coffee pot, kettle, crockery, etc.
The bathroom contains both bath and shower with a shaving point, toilet and wash basin. The entrance hall has an automatic washing machine located under the stairs.Bed linen and towels are included; metered electricity paid for (charged at cost ) ,on departure.
The thermal insulation of the cottages is to modern standards with double glazed windows and draft protection. The electric heating and hot water systems are thermostatically controlled for economy. All rooms have heaters, two of which are storage heaters. All this makes for a very comfortable cottage.
Outside there is plenty of secure parking, a large lawn with barbecue, garden furniture
and an area for drying clothes
The cottages are ideally located for day trips to the Lakes of Killarney, Cliffs of Moher, Waterford Crystal, Bunratty Folk Park, Blarney Castle and the Rock of Cashel.
Locally the scenic countryside provides many interesting towns and activities such as golf , rambling, fishing and horse riding.
The City of Cork is actually just 50 minutes away .
