Welcome to Home Made Hostel! If you are looking for a home from home place, book here. Being located in a beautiful apartment of a 19th century building in the city centre, we offer something different than usual 'bunk-bed', 'crammy' hostels do. If you book here, you will see you don't feel like you are in a hostel! We have very comfy beds in open and spacious rooms, warm and inviting furnishings, a fantastic meal on Tuesdays, free internet and staff that resemble your best friends.
What do we have, what do we offer?
Rooms:
1. Double room
We offer a beautiful, home-designed, colourful double-room with a TV set. The room has a comfortable double bed, which can sleep two people. Mineral water, cookies and fresh fruits are included in the price.
The room can also be booked by small groups of 3 because there is an extra single bed on the loft. If the room is booked for 3, we charge an additional 50% of the original price per night. To book this room for three, just enter two people when you make your reservation and then write to us there will be three people sleeping in the room. Moreover, you can book this room as a twin private room without any extra charge.
2. 8-bed dorm (yellow room)
The dorm has a beautiful, individually designed loft. There is a TV set and DVD player in the dorm. WE RECOMMEND OUR 8-BED DORM FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE LESS BOTHERED BY TALK. The room is less suitable to book as a private room. The 4-bed room opens from this room. The room is lockable.
3. 4-bed room (brown room)
It is more like a private room for small groups, but individuals can also take this peaceful, quite and big room. Stuff on the wall - check this out. The room opens from the 8-bed room. The room is lockable.
4. 6-bed room (green room)
Relaxed, naturalistic, spacious room with a separate entrance. The new wooden loft has just been completed which gives you privacy. Ideal for groups of 5 and 6. The room is lockable.
5. There is a unique, homey and comfy common room for socialising and internet use.
All the rooms are equipped with furniture designed and redesigned by our staff!
There are three bathrooms as well in the hostel to decrease the morming and evening 'rush hour'. We also offer
- FREE INTERNET ACCESS in the common room,
- FREE WIFI in the whole of the hostel,
- FREE tea and coffee,
- maps of different kinds, flyers and brochures on cultural and entertainment venues,
-free lockers,
laundry (including drying) for 5 euros,
- cold and hot running water as well as cooking facilities
- Scooters for low price to do your sightseeing.
We also arrange airport / station pick-ups for you and help you to get to your next destination.
Moreover, the hostel is in the middle of all the hot spots, popular sights, nightlife spots, shops, restaurants, markets, cafés, clubs, theatres and cinemas. Wherever you want to go in the city, it is within a stone-throw. In the neighbourhood you will find ATM machines, currency exchange, post office, pharmacy, pubs, night clubs, movies, restaurants and shops of all sorts.
Accessibility
WE ARE VERY EASY TO ACCESS by any means of public transport: Western railway station (Nyugati pályaudvar) is 5 minutes, Eastern railway station (Keleti pályaudvar) is 15 minutes, Oktogon metro station is one minute away.

We can not receive larger groups than 17 people.
