Located in the ancient city of Pingyao, Harmony Backpacker Guesthouse offers a relaxing haven to all travellers. You will be greeted by English speaking staff in this family run hostel and have the opportunity to meet other travellers over a cold beer and traditional home-cooked Chinese dishes. The house was built in the Ming Dynasty and retains its orginal architecture. At night the courtyard is lit with sky lanterns which creates an cozy atmosphere for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing.

For those looking to stay in a traditional Chinese style bedroom we have rooms with old-style kang beds which can sleep up to four people. There are also dorm rooms available. All rooms have private bathrooms, TV, Wi-Fi access and air-conditioning. There is Internet access in the lounge. The accomodations are clean, fairly priced and the staff are friendly, as listed in the Lonely Planet 2007 edition.
