Established in December 2004 by Michael and Max, 2 Aussies living in Hanoi. The Hanoi Backpackers' Hostel was the first and still remains Hanoi's only International Standard hostel.

Situated down a quiet street just 50m from the front steps St Joseph's Cathedral in the centre of town and a 3 minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. The hostel is perfectly located to explore the Old Quarter.

We 8 funky, dorm rooms of various sizes and big, comfy bunk beds; each with its' own locker, night light and a convenient shelf for Ipods and stuff. Linen is included with a very fluffy pillow and a warm duvet in winter.

The beds are divided evenly between 1 Nunnery (girls only) and 3 mixed rooms. All the rooms are air-conditioned and have an enclosed en-suite with a separate toilet and shower (hot water of course).

Couples are not forgotten, there is also 3 double suites for those who value their privacy.

The all inclusive price gets you breakfast, all day tea/coffee and use of the ADSL, and WIFI internet (yes, the PCs have Skype).

Because we are the social cats we are, there is BBQ's every Monday Wednesday and Friday from 6pm on the Roof Top terrace as well as a Sunday Session from 3 pm.

For those of you just passing through we offer a transit stop so you can securely store you pack while you wonder arround Hanoi and grab a shower before leaving on night trains and buses for other exciting destinations.

For your convenience we can arrange pick ups from Hanoi Train Station and airport transfers on request.
