The Metropole Hotel faces the picturesque Bund on the east, Nanjing Road, a shopper's paradise, on the north and the historical Yu Garden on the south.

The hotel is very close to the Shanghai City Hall, economic and trade corporations and financial institutions. It is only 2km to the wharf, 3km to the railway station and 16km to the airport.
