Qingdao Observatory, the first contemporary observatory in China, is home of our youth hostel, which is situated on Mt. Observatory in the heart of Qingdao, it is a hidden gem from which to explore China's most vibrant coastal city. It overlooks the Qingdao Bay, most hostel rooms have a panoramic view over the city's skyline. The national ground zero point for China's altitude is located right in front of the hostel; Many heritage buildings lie around the Old Observatory, a place to communicate with the history. The Hostel is in a superb location, not only for its city and ocean view, but also convenient to go around.

Mamahuhu Lounge is located on the rooftop, an impressive spot to embrace Qingdao's skyline. Try our coffee in our Mamahuhu Lounge, many of our guests say 'Long Black' is the best black coffee they find in China.

During the Olympic period (August 7th to 27th 2008) the minimum stay in the hostel will be 3 days.
