Purple Palms Travel Lodge and backpackers suitable for travellers, backpackers and families alike. It's clean, friendly, spacious and a great place to recharge after your long haul flight.
Situated 10km from the airport we are far enough from the hustle and bustle in a relaxed atmosphere.
We have been in the business from the start of backpacking SA for over 10 years now with our sister hostel in Pretoria, North South backpackers.

Our private rooms consist off double en suite, twin en suite family and friend en suites and a 3 bed dorm room. Single rates are available.
Most rooms have TV's.
Our dorm has a standard rate or rate that includes airport shuttles. All private rooms have shuttle rates included.
We have an outside entertainment area, bar and pool.
Inside we have a book exchange and DVD library, with Digital SAT TV. All Rooms have Safe boxes and are heated. Our common room has games on a round table and a PC with free internet...use when you need to.
Shops are only a mere 200 meters away and a mall 1km. We drop off at a larger mall for free when airport transfers allow this.
We offer transport to and from places of interest.
The area is safe and clean.

ADSL internet is available Free of charge.
Wireless for a small fee.

The facilities are modern with and the rooms have an African theme.

FREE transport to Pretoria to enjoy our tried and tested North South Backpackers, were you can have a great time in all the clubs and pubs in Hatfield which is situated in the university campus area.Remember, there are no buses and transport is expensive.....this is a real missed opportunity if not used.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS ...Drop off's take place from 06:00 to 20:00 daily. If you have a flight outside these times, we are flexable.
Pick ups take place till 20:00. If you have a late flight, please inform us so we can make arrangements.....See you soon and have a great holiday.
