In August 1963,I was sent by my government , to assume the postion of Bandmaster,for the Cape-Palmas Military Band. Following an invitation by President William V S Tubman. I arrived with my wife Edna and our two little children.

We stayed in Harper City , Liberia one beautiful year,with beautiful people.

I was decorated by the Liberian government with the title of "Officer of African Redemption".
