Shimoni is a town about 80 km south of Mombasa near the Tanzanian border. Just off the Shimoni Peninsula lies Wasini Island. The Kisite Marine National Park is offshore of Wasini Island. The island itself is unblemished and a great place to relax. The reason people come to the area, however, it to dive. Diving off Pemba channel may be the best in East Africa.
