Bafoussam is located some 250 km northeast of Douala . This nice laid back city is the main center of the Bamileke tribe. The main attractions include the colorful markets offering beautiful Bamileke wood carvings.

Bafoussam is a good base for visiting Foumban . A daytrip can be made to Bafut as well. In Bafut there is a nice castle woth visiting.
